Scotia Speedworld Ready for FanFest Friday Night!

(Halifax, NS – June 20, 2024) Scotia Speedworld is gearing up for a big night at the track this Friday for FanFest! All of the Bay Equipment Rentals Weekly Racing Series divisions will be in action Friday night. Fans will also have an opportunity to get up close and personal to their favourite drivers at the autograph session which is slated for 7:00pm. Our friends from Bluenose Pools will also be joining us for all of the FanFest celebrations!

After the autograph session closes, the action of the Bay Equipment Rentals Weekly Racing Series hits the track. While the quantity of the biggest car counts in Atlantic Canada has been evident this season at Scotia Speedworld, the quality of competition has also shown on track. In 22 features across the five house classes on the Friday night racing program, 18 different feature winners have emerged victorious. Russell Smith Sr (Lakeside) and his son Deven Smith (Lakeside) each have a pair of Maritime Auto Glass Sportsman feature wins, Shelby Chisholm (Antigonish) has two checkered flags in feature competition in the Bluenose Pools Beginners with Ayden Christensen (Windsor Junction) the repeat winner in the Strictly Hydraulics Legends. The Bluenose Pools Bandoleros and Toursec Mini Stocks have seen four different winners in as many races and will look to extend those numbers to five on Friday.

Each division has crossed the one quarter distance mark in the 2024 season. Dylan Dowe (Bedford, Maritime Auto Glass Sportsman), Christensen (Strictly Hydraulics Legends), Ross Moore (Lake Egmont, Toursec Mini Stock) and Bella Pashkoski (Beaver Bank, Bluenose Pools Bandolero) show the way in their respective point chases with Chisholm and Addison Veinotte (Porters Lake) even atop the Bluenose Pools Beginner division.
